1966 rude headbolt torque and carb adjustment needed

ok so i got my 40hp electro shift motor hot and have had to replace my head gasket. I could use some help with torque value and pattern

Also when the head was off it looked like the top piston has had some detonation going on I would like to richen up the carb a bit i could not find a adjustment screw on the side. I thought the big one that comes out the front of the carb was just for low speed.

curently I run a 40:1 mix

any info would be good

I just found my pdf manual for this motor and if you read the head section it says to see the apendix in back of book for the torque specs guess what page I don't have
