I used the rubber strip that one would use on a pick up to mount a canopy on the bed. It looks good and seals the windshield and no leaks.

That ^^^ is for plexi WS with no frame on the bottom. The Starchief uses a different type.

I need the same gasket but the windshield has a frame all around. Here are some pics of the original gasket. There are a series of cut-outs for the Tee bolts to pass through. They attach the bottom of the frame to the deck, sandwiching the gasket. FWIW the Taylor P/N of the windshield is 440244. I've had no luck finding a replacement so far. We could use the one PS found if we made a new windshield and extended so the bottom frame isn't needed. Mine happens to be good enough to reuse but its a little rough around the edges, Like me I suppose.

The Twin Flap only has about a 3/8" double flange that grips the plexi. Your gasket is wider because it grips the WS frame. All these WS gaskets are getting hard to find. The iboats link is sold out and has been for a while. I have found it cheaper, but for the bigger boats it would need cutting up to maybe fit. What is being used on newer boats. This stuff really hasn't changed over the years, just suppliers. I get ticked when I Google Taylor Made and find golf clubs.
