Well, it was made in Denmark, It says they are Volvo Penta AQ 110/200 engines. The boat is a 1966 Botved Coronet 24 de lux.

One engine has on the top of the block; JAG Volvo 1-418 205 L057
Same engine on the side of the block has Volvo 4968 07
Rear of the engine block by the distributor has JBG418201

The other engine; top JAG Volvo 1-418 205 L30
side Volvo 968 07
rear JBG418201
Thats all the numbers I can see.

I am helping a friend with a boat of his and I am having a hard time figuring out whats wrong with it.

I have fire at the controls but do not have a spark at the plug. the coils are good, the distributor looks fine, everything is gaped right, clean connections, replaced some blown fuses for good measure... I am wondering if there is a kill switch I dont know about?? or is there something I am overlooking or he is overlooking? I have asked him to trace down wires to see if there is a break in the wiring or if it goes to a control or relay that is possibly bad. any response or troubleshooting help would be appreciated. thanks john.
