I have a 1966 Wizard 9.2hp 2 cylinder outboard manufactured by Chrysler, model# COC6509A66 that was recently given to me and I am getting mixed answers on some issues.
Recently replaced the points and condensors, and rebuilt the carb. The engine runs strong but the plugs are fouling (soaked with fuel), and there is a lot of fuel floating on the water in the barrell along with heavy smoking. We mixed the fuel 32:1 and we are not sure if the current plugs are correct. I did some research and different places are giving me completely different mix ratios, one says 24:1 ther other 50:1. Same story with the plugs one says to run a cold J11C and the other a hot L82C.
The carb was adjusted acording to the specifications supplied with the rebuild kit.
Any help will be much appreciated.
