Hi, I recently had my boat out and have a 3 hp evinrude as a back up for emergencies in case my 120 chryler breaks down. Anyway I started this little motor to test it out and it ran for about 3 minutes and I beleave it siezed up it will not pull start or budge. I probly had the wrong oil mixture...is it hard to rebuild? I was a auto mechanic for years but never worked on 2-strokes...will the parts cost me much? I bought this motor for 125.00 I really want to rebuild it....it appeared to be one hell of a engine!!!!!!!!! Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!

You'll find parts lists and diagrams HERE but you'll have to look at the Johnson models

As far as I can see the '67 is the same as the 68 model and you'll find similar diagrams and pats lists including prices at http://shop2.evinrude.com/Index.aspx?s1=c0c4366a3c7354225c98d424f7a95aaf&catalog_id=0&siteid=1

Some parts you may well be able to get as non OEM parts which should be cheaper.

Regarding fuel. Normal recommendation for 67 models is that they run on 50:1 but this one does not appear to have any needle bearings on the crankshaft so a more oily mix, 24:1 perhaps, might be advisable.
