1967 60hp johnson a lot of water coming out of top exhaust port

I did a water impeller on my motor and water came out as a spray, now the water is shooting out like crazy it almost doesn't seem right is this ok or do I have a serious problem?

Zaner.....check the engine temp. Sounds like the t-stat may be stuck open.
