Hi guys, I took my boat out after 18months yesterday and it started first turn of the key which I was extremely happy with. I went out for a short 2min trip and it travelled normally, slow speed and also high speed, then all of a sudden when I tried to put the throttle down, the rev's went really high and the boat stayed stationary? It kept doing this all day, at slow speed not a problem but as soon a I put the throttle down it would just rev and stay on the same spot like I was on ice? I took the prop off when I got back and the shear pin looks good? I have a washer behind the prop which also seemed normal? what could this be?

sounds like you may have a "spun" prop where the hub breaks it's bond from the prop housing. Make two little corresponding hash marks with a magic marker, one on the prop, and one on the hub. Take your boat for a ride and lay the whip to her. When you get back, check the hash marks. If they don't line up anymore, you have a spun prop. It'll need to go to a prop shop for repair.
