just got another winter project the other day...this little merc seems to run great but I noticed bubbles coming from the
seam of the crankcase...its not a crack, its where the two halves join...I tried tighten the Phillips bolts (screws) but they moved very little and leak still there..im guessing I have to remove the power head split the two and clean and a bit of atv sealant and should be ok...
what is best the manual for this project? and can I get one off the web?
also the compression is 135 in both
any thoughts ?
thank you very much
p.s. I have another post regarding a 50 hp merc im trying to tank run without any controls if someone can help with that.

The halves of the block take a specific sealant, don't try using silicone. I use Loctite 518 on my motors.
