I finally got around to doing some preliminary work on this old outboard, I took the fly wheel off and it was dirty, and rusty underneath, so I cleaned out the rust and smoothed of all of the contact points as well as the magnets and such. My question is such after everything was reset and the engine reset I am still not getting a spark. How do I check the coils and condensors, just to see if they are working or I need to replace them? Any other suggestions would be so welcomed.

I am not familar with the coils on those motors. I do know the points need to be clean and dry. no oil on the contacts. condensers can go bad also. For my piece of mind I would just replace everything under the flywheel, points condensers and coils. I would hate to get caught on the lake because I didn't.
