cblguy4u,

At idle you will have a spray out of the exhaust relief port, (about 3/4 way up leg from prop-facing rearward).

At planing seeds, the output will be slow stream.

If you are worried about overheating, run the engine on the muffs or in a barrel. Touch the top cylinder heads with your fingers. If you can hold your hand there for a few seconds, it's probably OK (145 degrees).

If you do not know the history of water pump service, change it.
