Boat starts and idles well but when load is put on it it bogs out badly. The boat was sitting for several years. I put new fuel in with some carb cleaner in it. Just wondering if any one has any easy fixes or should i take it to a dealer?
# 1 carb cleaner doesn't cleaner carbs, when added to fuel mix, just keeps clean ones clean. good thing it didn't run, or you would have probably burnt it up, as the impeller 99% would have failed, and no cooling water. your carbs are gummed up from old gas. here's link as what should be checked, when bringing one out of hibernation. the engine also probably badly needs to be decarbed. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=158086
