1968 55 triumph

How can you tell if the water pump and/or impeller is working on the 1968 55 triumph engine as there seems to be no telltale or **** hole?

You could set a large garbage can under the engine, checking head temp. as the engine is running. When the thermostat open's, water will discharge out the two exhaust holes below the powerhead.

should have mist/spray coming out of exhaust outlets.

Thanks guys I'll give it a look on its maiden voyage today and if you have any other tips on this engine send them on as I'm new to this gig.
