My 55 triumph has the selectric push button shifter, is this considered an electric or hydro electric gearcase? Thanks in advance

Hydroelectric.
Selectrics shift by energizing electromagnets that pull on springs that are wrapped around the gears.
Hydroelectrics energize solenoids that operate valves. The actual shifting is done hydraulically. There's a hydraulic pump in the front of the bullet. The forward gear turns the pump.

Ingenious system actually. If the system fails, you're stuck in Forward. With Selectrics if the system fails, you're stuck in Neutral.
