1968 55HP JOhnson Outboard TRL110R Starter Help

A buddy of mine is looking for a starter for this motor. I have not had any luck finding one and was hoping someone could point me into the right direction. There are a couple part numbers on the starter which are.

MGD4006
MGD-303-1

Not sure which one to use or if they can be cross referenced with another part. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably have to try the salvage yards listed up in the top of this section; can you not just take to a starter/generator repair shop and have it rebuilt?

I don't know where you are but Tennesee River Marine in Muscle Shoals AL has helped me a lot with questions and parts for my Johnson motor. 256-386-7602 is the local phone number, I'm not sure if they have an 800 # but I do know that they do ship parts. It should be easy to find their website. I'm looking at a couple of other boats with 60 and 85 hp Johnson's that both have issues with the starters overheating. I'm going to call them or stop in later and ask them some questions. If you do call them have your model number handy. Good luck
