1968 evinrude 9.5 cuts in and out

The problem I'm having is that the engine is cutting out @ mid to full throttle. I have checked plugs gapped at 30 also have taken off carb and cleaned it. I also mixed fresh premium fuel mixed 50:1. Is there something else I'm missing or overlooking. Please any advice would be appreciated.

Is the motor speed wavering, or is it cutting out kind of like full to half,half to full?<br /> If it is truly cutting in and out you could be losing spark on one cylinder.The points could need cleaning and adjusting or even replacement.<br /> You could have a coil that is breaking down or a plug missing.Does one plug seem wetter than the other.Be sure plug wires arent rubbing on something and shorting to ground.<br /> If your motor is designed to run on 87 octane you are wasting your money running premium gas.<br /> It is actually harder to ignite premium especially in a motor rated for regular.<br /> This is NOT likely to be your problem.
