Get a harmonic balancer puller from an auto parts store and three high strength machine screws w/ correct thread size to screw into flywheel. Replace flywheel nut loosely. Install puller. Either flywheel must be held from turning (KD Tools makes an auto flywheel turner/holder or use an inmpact wrench on puller center bolt. Vola ... flywheel will pop free.

Baddawg,
Wildone is correct, Autozone will loan you one, go to the hardware store for 1/4 inch, 20 thread, 3.5 inch long #8 bolts. Also I just pulled a flywheel from a 59 johnson it took TWO days.

1 attach puller, and tighten
2 Fill the thing up with WD40 (or Other)let soak-- for 3-4 hours
tighten again
3 give the large puller bolt a few good wacks dont be shy.
4 repeat untill it comes off.

Keep the bolt on as Wildone suggests you dont want that thing flying off.

Hope this helps

Thanks Hooty --

To clarify hit with at least a 16oz hammer the main PULLER bolt.
