I am thinking about selling my 1968 Evinrude Yachtwin and was wondering what is a fair price to ask. It is in very good condition, was tuned last year and runs perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.

Look on your local Craig's List for awhile. Around here, one built in this century with a Honda badge on it ,they are asking $350. Now think of the used value between a Toyota Tacoma and a Ford Ranger. I have a '81 4.5 Merc, I have to think long and hard about putting a dime in when I can pick a almost new little kicker for well under $500 .

If it looks good, I would say $300 minimum . Those old omc twin 3 horses run a lot smoother and are lighter than the new ones . The long shaft motors are hard to find .

Agree with the above, but I would say $350.00. Those were sweet motors.

Its a 50 year old motor. Anything for sale lives by the supply and demand rule.

Its one of the best ever made, but not particularly "collectible", so a Collector probably already has one.

A guy that needs a kicker probably would't want it because of its age.

A guy that needs one for his boat and can't afford a new one probably doesn't have much money to spend.

$300 is a fair price - you just need to find a willing buyer. Lots for sale on Craigslist and EBay, but they sit for quite awhile...
