1968 Holiday Painted Hull

I know lots of hulls have been painted and there is a ton of info on the subject.

But is there any cons to not having an original finish? Is a painted a hull Ok to have?

What I like about steel hulls is the fact that you can touch them up without fuss.

Can a skipper do the same with a Starcraft Aluminum.

All Starcrafts I've ever heard of came painted from the factory, but most of us repaint ours during the restoration. Original would only matter if its in great condition, then it might be more desirable. But most importantly, do YOU like the current color or something else?
