interested in a 20ft cuddy, it comes with a 1968 65hp Johnson powershift II. tried researching online but didn't find much info. anyone knows anything about this motor. Is it one of the antiques that has no fuel pump and uses a dual line tank? hard to find parts for? Boat is a Bellboy from the same year. has been in storage for many years. Any info on the boat will be appreciated, too. Thx.

Note: I think the boat's info page on fiberglassics is dead ?

I doubt you have a 1968 motor !!----Powershift II did not apply to motors until 1973.----And dual line tanks were not used after 1960.------So we do not know what you have !----Post some pictures or model numbers.----That will help YOU.

That is a mechanical shift ( oil pressure assisted ) and a 1973 model.----No doubt about that fact !-----That motor has a fuel pump !-----Easy to find parts for that motor in my opinion !

Looks like it's an inline 3, right?
One thing I'd like to add is power tilt and trim, I see a lot of used units on eBay but mostly for 80s or later, will those work on a 73?

Step #1 is to evaluate the condition of this motor before you start spending beer tokens on it.

Anything particularly good or bad regarding oil assisted mechanical shifting?

Do you own this boat and motor now ?-----There is nothing wrong with the design of that lower unit.----Do a compression test first.----Post the numbers.
