1968 mecrusier start problem

finaly i got the boat out of the garage from working on it all winter. i put it away with a motor that would fire up and run.Well it will not work know. i change the plugs and made sure the gap is good. them motor turns over but will not start. Really need help with this problem. like to get boat out for its first time in year. Any help would be great. thanks mike

Does it have spark?
Might help if you mentioned what engine you have.

yes i have spark. also its a 1968 mercuriser in-line 6 250

Check for fuel delivery. If you installed this engine did you hit the distributor and move it slightly?

sorry i forgot to add that i had to pull the disturber out so i could change a side value cover gasket. I mark it and put it back in the same place of the mark.

Hmm I would bump it to TDC and see where the rotor is. Betcha it is out.
