1968 Merc 60 6 hp, is it supposed to pee water?

A buddy of mine had an old 1968 6 hp mercury that he was going to throw away so he gave it to me. I put a new water pump, carb kit, LU oil, and a homemade fuel pump diaphragm made from a bike innertube. The motor started right up and runs great, but I don't see any water coming from behind the cowl or anywhere else. My 1964 6 hp merc pumps water from the exhaust hole under the rear of the cowl. Does the '68 not do this? If it does pump water visibly, where does it come out? Thanks.

Nevermind, I got it to pee with more pressure than a 5 year old, the pee hole was clogged, cleaned the dirt from dirt dobber nest out of it with safety pin, works great now!
