I replaced the water pump and I think the shift shaft might of moved anyway I think I put the shift shaft into neutral and the control into neutral also. When I fire up the engine I put engine into forward fine goes back into neutral fine but when I go to put it in reverse the rpms just rev up however if I take a screwdriver and push the rod for the gears all the way to the back with about 1/2 inch from the end it will go into reverse. I am wondering if this is a control adj problem or a shift shaft problem any help on this would be wonderful thx
