Hi everyone,

Me and my dad just bought a 1969 17ft Slickcraft for 350$. Within a week we have the windshield, the deck, the transom and floor taken out. What do you all think?

:D Pirate

WOW. I'd say you've been busy. But, that's the easy part. Challenge: replace it all as fast! :)
Congrats.

Hi Guys,

I will get pics soon. I have pics but they didn't come out good. :( But I have some on my memory card in the camera. I am going to finish the hull up today so that me and my dad can start building it back up.

Pirate ;)

Sounds good so far. The fun part is the rebuild. I much preferred my rebuild over the demolition phase. I carted off a full pickup bed piled to the top of the cab in flooring, stringers, foam, and everything else I had to tear out of the thing.

We aren't going to put foam in the center. Foam holds moisture. We are keeping our stringers in and re-glassing them. They aren't rotted.

I would put pics up but it gives me this http thing and I don't know how to do it.

Pirate ;)

Pirate, here's a good primer for posting pics.

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=000498

Please post any that you have, cause I'm a pic ***** and addicted to them in a bad way lol. I love to see a boat that someone else has given up on as junk and then see the steps that were taken to make her shine again. It keeps me from becoming too overwhelmed whenever I look at my project beast in the back yard.
