Ok, while I am waiting to pick up my 68 starchief, I found this lonely 69 Holiday that wants to come home with me (My wife thinks as a parts boat;)) I was told the boat is sound, hull in good shape, windows and trim in good shape, trailer good, the floor needs replaced, the outdrive is all there, the motor is not connected and missing the carb (used on another engine). I am going to take a look at it saturday. Question, as I have not owned/restored a powerboat before, what to I look out for?

Thanks, Bret

Nothing! You can't go wrong with these old Starcrafts. Worst case scenario, all the wood is rotten. On these boats that's no big deal.

Ok, seriously, you should probably make sure the hull has no major damage to it but other than that everything else is fixable.

I don't know much about I/O's but I think parts are available for the Mercrsuisers. Good luck with it. I wish I had the space and $ to properly treat multiple boats syndrome.
