1969 25 hp evinrude

have my childhood sportster i just dug out of storage. it's in great shape but hasen't bin in the water in 30 years. stored in the house and not exposed to the elements. never bin in salt water, only spring fed lake. what will i need to do to get her ready to use again? she was very well maintained when she was in use.

Great engine. A 22cubic inch 25hp. Excellent hp/weight ratio. Read the top secret file at the top of the forum under awakening a sleeping outboard. Then if you have questions post em.

Definitely needs a new impeller. Replace it before cranking it up (don't be tempted...) because the rubber may already be cracked to pieces which will clog the cooling system. Make sure the cylinders have some lube in them because they are dry.
