hey guys, does anyone have a diagram or a link to one for the above engine? I need a bolt that holds the air filter to the carb and I would also like to replace some other bolts that have the heads rusting. while I have your attention, are the grease fittings replaceable and if so, what size?

Actually there never was an air filter on those.---There was a foam type pad mounted there with the intent of silencing reed noise.-----Original bolts typically are in the $4.00 range , expensive but that covers shipping handling for the company.---Nobody can make money in the marine industry with a $1.00 transaction.-----Look for parts on --shop.evinrude.com-----

a 30 second glance at your motors breakdown shows the grease fitting for the shifthandle as omc part number 0313607. can only guess that all grease fittings on the motor would be the same. ( omc was very good at keeping things simple back in the day). why not remove one and take it to princess auto etc to match it up. ( caution tho, they tend to easily break off!!)

You may find that the factory grease fittings are stainless.

easily break off, hmmm, that sounds like it could be a problem. my problem is on the lower unit fitting, the grease doesn't seem to be going in. maybe clogged?
