Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and I'm having problems with motor I just got. I can get it to run for anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes and then it revs up and dies. Can usually start it right back up but the same thing happens after a little bit. New external tank, 15 to 1 oil mix , also tried built in tank and it does the same thing . Any help would be appreciated

When a motor's RPM's increase and then it dies, that normally means fuel starvation. As the fuel/air mixture gets too lean, you can hear the motor rev up and die. If it were me, I'd start by checking the fuel pump.

Thanks, for the reply started tearing into it today and figured out that the shut off? valve for switching from built in tank to external tank was broken. Bypassed and after 1 or two false starts ran it for 30 minutes no problem. My guess is it was sucking in air maybe.
