1969 evenrude short shaft value?

I have an 1969 Evenrude in storgae. it ran before it was winterized before storing. its spent its whole life indoors when not in use been in storage for since around 1996 when i upgade boats. it has low hours and used in pa fresh water no more than an average of 10 trips per year.

I was wonder what its value is now?

Do any of you guys know approxamatly or where i could find out?

Well what motor are we talking about, they made 1 or 2 in '69?

When selling a motor, it is either running or not. I think every owner that I have bought a motor from said that it "ran fine" before storage. It's a bit of an inside joke amoung collectors. Pics would help as well.

I didnt know there were 2 types if you can inform me how to tell I'll have my friend check. i stored it with him in pittsburgh pa. when I transfered to fort lauderdale fl..

I never intened to sell the motor before this day.

I gave my son, my fathers 1992 sea nymph last year, after returning from affganistan and while fishing something happened to his motor. it runs but wont go forward or reverse after hearing some grinding sounds.

He's getting out of the army and is getting married this coming year and either of us have the money to repair his motor.

This is the reason I havent tried to run it or take pictures of it.

i was thinking of selling it or trading it for the repair cost.

i dont now the cost of either but was hoping to get an idea of what its worth before i traded it away.

I cant remember if the gas tank is still with it or not ill have to check on that also.

at least i've kept the running joke alive and let me know if my long story covers any more jokes. seems like lots of stories but its all true I couldnt make this all up its only my first post

Im also looking for someone to repair his 1992 9.9 evenrude with the problems i've discribed above. he is stationed at fort drum Watertown NY

He means, what horsepower. There were many different sized motors.

In my neck of the woods, if the motor can be demonstrated to run, it would go for around $250-350. In non-running condition, but with good compression, I'd pay $150-200.
