1969 evinrude 18hp bogging down under load

1969 evinrude is bogging down under load , motor will idle and stay running but
when given the gas tries to bog out. Took off carb, its spotless. Fuel pump is good, fuel
line is good condition. Tank is connected and properly vented. Can this be electrical i have good blue spark to both plugs, can the points and stuff break down under load.
please help!

"good blue spark" may not quite be good enough. even thourh you see a good spark it may not be enough. itspark should be able to jump a 1/4" gap. I would also remove your flywheel and chek the points, condensers and coils. it's probably worth it just to replace the points and condensers while you're at it. you can get them right here at iboats as a "tune up kit" for about $20. make sure your points are set to .020" and the gap on your spark plug(s) is set to .030".
