I have a 69 Johnson that is leaking oil around the main input shaft seal (under the water pump). The shaft is only slightly scared there. Somebody told me to put the shaft in a lath and go over it with emery cloth to clean it up. Is there an oversized seal to make up the difference? I've replaced the seal twice now, and it still leaks!<br /><br />Any suggestions?
