Does anybody know the what the difference is between a Johnson 55ES69 and a Johnson 55ESL69? My guess is that on the ESL, the "L" stands for "long". However, I picked up a driveshaft for it today, and I can't get it all the way in. When I try to get the lower unit back, it stops an inch short and no amount of wiggling or turning will get it back in. I spent serveral hours trying to get this unit in, so I'm pretty sure the water tubes are not getting in the way, although it's hard to tell for sure. Does anybody know if there's something else I should try, or just give up and get the short driveshaft?
