The clutch dog is out in my 1969 Johnson 75 hp lower unit. I can't find another of the same year that is also manual shift. Does anyone know what I could change it out with or where I could find the part for it?

Thanks,
Tim
Welcome aboard Tim!

We need to get the year right first. There weren't no 75hp's in 69'. How about posting the model number so we can make sure of the year. Thanks!

Hi Tim,,,,Them things are expensive.I had a buddy had a motor bout like yours.I took a tig welder and build it back up ,then grind it down.It can be done if you cant find one,or like me, cant afford one.
Tim....I'll believe 68'. The clutch dog is still available from Bomby....far as I know. Last price I seen was about $95. Pricey.

As posted above, a good machinist could square the dogs off but they do have to be the same on both sides. If the dogs on the gear are rounded, might get them done also.
