Does anyone have a service manual for a 1969 Mercury Thunderbolt 800 or access to one? I have some questions dealing with mine. I can't seem to find a part number for the fuel line that goes from the inlet to the fuel splitter for the 1st and 2nd carb's. Plus all the screw's, hardware and misc. other items in the engine. I'd like to get a copy if someone has an electronic copy or a PDF formated copy. I appreciate all help given. I'm new to boating and restoring so, I'm trying to learn the correct way. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sincerely,

Scatty,

Thanks for the information again. Now all I need is to get the service manual for this, so that I know part numbers ect... I'm new to all of this and am learning. I like the website that you gave to me. I will most definately use it. What part of Puget Sound do you live in? Northern or Southern?

Don't know where you can find a Manual (I'm lucky enough to have a Merc Guru as a friend..guys a walking manual on old Mercs, and has a mess of parts and motors)..watch Ebay maybe. I want to get a 70's inline one myself..add to the collection.
South Sound...northwest of Oly...Peninsula side
If you want, I can probably get you the original fuel line parts..thats a 6 inline, right? If you can post a pic, it would help. Probably nothing going to happen until after Labor Day for sure..seems everybody on vacation this week. But the reason I suggest new lines and barbed fittings is the old lines are, well, old, prone to leaks at the old style connections, and not alcohol resistent. Now would be a great time to upgrade

And on the 5/16s hose, might be hard to find in the regular auto stores. Think CarQuest carries it, or any smal engine repair shop...or Tacoma Screw

Scaaty,
Thanks for the information and all. My engine is a 4 cyl 2 stroke. If you do a search for my posts, you'll find me asking questions about this as well as my boat project. It is listed as Restoring 1970 Lasvegas Sahara. I will definately look all around to find those hose sizes. I will be keeping all this information in a binder to keep for quick referance. Thanks again.

Scaaty,

Here is the photo. I will get a better pic in the next few days and post it here. Until then, this one will have to do. Thanks for the help! I'll be down in Yelm probably this weekend. Have family down that way. Used to live there. Smiles...

Best Regards,
