Ok so this thing runs like a top now as per video:

Now here's where I'm at with the lower unit:



The shift rod had carbon deposit and was eating into the seal. I pressure tested the lower unit, and soap tested the seals. Sure enough while moving the shift rod you could hear air blowing past the seal. I had to grind down a nut almost to the threads to pull the brass guide out, so I could get to the seal.
Can't wait for open water.
