Looks like I'm missing a nylon bearing on the shift detent. Looks like I'll have to make one. Any of you guys know what the outside diameter of this missing bearing? I have some nylon scraps laying around I'll just drill a hole and grind the outside into what I need.


Well at least this guy will be happy when he gets it back, it will be as it was.

Yep, part number 311489 bushing is missing. It is held on by an o-ring in the groove. You sound like my kind of guy, I'd probably make one too. But I don't know the diameter either. I'd judge by whatever seems to fit the radius at the bottom end of the interlock bar.

You could buy one for $6.00 on Outboard Motors, Boat Parts, Marine Engines, Inboard Boat Motor They have them in stock. I really respect guys that can make nearly anything - my dad was that kind of guy. I'm not as good at it yet.
