My 40hp Johnson was running fine until the other day. All of the sudden it started stalling and was hard to start. When I out it in gear it would sometimes stall. I thought perhaps I had some bad gas or water got in my tank from all the rain we've had. Changed out the fuel, no help. Changed plugs not much help. When I press the choke button she'll rev up pretty good. but when I give it gas it stalls. Can someone suggest some ideas. Could it just need the carb rebuilt? There's only the one. Do I need to sync afterward? What do I need and How would I do that if need be? thanks
