Howdy.. I just picked up a 1970 Evinrude 60 hp..Electric shift..seems to be OK ,130 lbs compression on all 3 cylinders. Model series is 60073B..
I have Googled and searched forums but I can't seem to find the info I need.
Question..What type of oil should be used in the single arm TILT unit (that is bolted to the shifter side of the motor??). Thanks in advance. Doug:confused:

I would go to your local dealer and pick up the BRP blend, it is not that much more than ATF Dexron III, and since it is only changed periodically, the extra cost is worth it in my own opinion. That being said, in a pinch, you can use ATF Dexron III.
