I am having power problems. The motor seems to run fine in neutral but when I put it in drive it has no power. I can just go about idle speed. The motor seems to be missing I put new plugs gaped to manuel specs. Fuel filter seems ok . Any help would be great.

Does it sound like an engine miss, or is just sort of burbling like running on choke?
I ask because it could be several different things, and it would be nice to narrow down the possibilities

Hi again,
You should do a compression test first to rule out an engine problem such as a headgasket, or bad rings(broken).
If compression is ok, and your sure it seems like a miss, try running it in gear and take off the spark plug wires one at a time to see which cylinder is missing. The missing cylinder will not drop the rpm as much as the other two cylinders if at all. REMEMBER TO USE WELL INSULATED PLIERS WHEN PULLING OFF PLUG WIRES!!!!!!!!! It will curl your hair in every place you have hair if you do this with your hand.
Once you find the culprit cylinder, check the spark plug, plug wire, and distributor cap terminal for this cylinder. I have found with an ohmeter that the plug wires on this engine can have VERY VERY VERY high resistance at the cap terminal end. They get all green inside the terminal itself, and don't contact properly.
By the way, the wires thread out of the cap, and coil. They don't just pull out! Usually you can repair the wire ends if bad
