I purchased a boat last year with a 45hp chrysler on it. We messed around with it and got it to run well. Meanwile, I bought the exact same motor from a local guy for $25.00 that I was going to use for parts. It was sitting for awile, so I fogged it and let it go. I just started fooling around with it this spring and turns out this thing is in really good shape. The only problem is that there is no spark on either cly. I am having a hard time finding parts for these early motors. Can anyone give me some ideas of a place to get parts, if they are available at all.

thanks,
chad

You can try the old outboard site but a better bet would be The Chrysler Crew. You can probably rebuild an engine there. If the engine is a points and magneto ignition, pull the flywheel, clean and gap the points to .020, and she might just fire for you. Points are a bit pricey though--last time I checked they were 18 bucks each and there are two under the flywheel. I don't know what condensers cost.
