Need help.....I have a 1970 sea king 7 hp trolling motor...model 1700. It won't keep running...starts up fine, runs for a short while....back fire...and dies. Has new hose and primer ball from fuel tank to motor. Have cleaned carb. Oil mixture about 32-1. New spark plug. Cann't keep it running. Usually will run for a couple minutes....seems like it is running out of gas. Fuel pump looks ok. Any suggestions? Is there any way to vacum test? Any idea where I can get a repair manual? Does anyone know what the carb setting are? Any ideas of someone that works on these motors in the Provo (Utah) area?
