Hi,
I have a 1963 Glasspar Marathon with a 1790 Evinrude 60. I took it out for the second time today and it started and ran fine for about an hour when we anchored for about 30 min. I started it back up, put it in gear and it would die when trying to give it throttle. It would rev up fine in neutral, but would stall in gear if I tried to give it much throttle. Tried pumping the ball and venting the fuel tank, but couldn't get above 1300 rpm or so before it would stall. We made it back to the ramp at 5 mph. It sounds like fuel starvation, but I'm not sure how to check it without being in the water and under load. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill
