Hi folks:

I recently cleaned up the above motor, and it runs like a top. The bottom end checked out fine, despite the appearance that it may have been used for dredging gravel.

Any recommendations for how to re-prop this motor? I have no idea what is on it now. By looking around the internet, I find it comes stock with a 8 1/8 x 8 prop, and I believe I am looking at a badly dinged-up original. there is still some red paint on it. I'd like to find a new one, but I am wondering about ideal size, wondering if there are any options in what to put on it, and also, how much will this likely cost?

thanks for your help!

Unless you have a very unusual boat, stick as close as possible with the stock size. By unusual, I mean race. Or Tug.
