1970 monark pontoon boat...

I purchased a 1970 monark pontoon fishing boat and it does not have a hull identification number so that I can insure it. I would like to do this as quickly as possible. Whenever I talked to my agent, he told me that monark did not make a pontoon boat in 1970. Did they? I plan on fixing up this boat and making it my father's. I definitely need more information than I have. Can anyone help me??

New to Pontoons,<br />Usually HIN numbers on boats are located at the transom on the starboard or right side. Look carefully on the transom area for imprinted numbers on the aluminum surface. If you cannot find one, look on the registration document for the boat, there may be one there. <br /><br />Good luck, have fun, be safe.
