1970 montgomery wards 35 no spark

I was recently givin a 1970 35hp montgomery ward sea king model#vwb27035a. It was in a storage shed for about 6 years. Appearance wise looks pretty good, compression is good,it has eletric start, but not sparking. I cleaned and adjusted the points(0.20) still nothing. Have ordered a shop manual, but was wondering about two wires coming from coils ground or power? Also how to check the magneto coils? Any help is appreciated..

Southrn, Go to the "Engines frequently asked question" forum and there's a thread there that will walk you through starting your engine. Also, get a manual it will really help. These engines are easy to work on and parts aren't that hard to find. Good Luck
