1970 stormcraft

Hello, I'm a new member and I recently purchased a 70 23ft stormcraft boat. But I can't seem to find out any info on it. Can anybody help? Also it has a chevy v8 with a omc drive unit. I would like to go with a diesal engine. Any thoughts on that subject?Is there a difference in a v8 out of a car and one thats in a boat. It looks the same.I found a 6.2 liter chevy diesal engine for sale, could that work in the boat. Thank you

the chevy diesal engine would turn to slow, and the cost to convert would outprice the whole boat
