Hey again, I've got the motor running, very well in fact, however the diaphram fuel pump seems like it may be weak. Any idea where I may be able to get a kit? It's the Air cooled, 2 cycle, 5HP. Thanks again guys.......Zeph

Is this the fuel pump that mounts on the side of the carburetor? In any case, try www.discount-marine-parts.com and call the number there and see if they have one. Have your outboard's model number available.

Also, search for "Clinton fuel pump" [no quotes] on ebay. There's a guy there who often has NOS parts for sale. Right now there's a fuel pump and a fuel pump kit available.

Thanks CAtransplant, I think I cured the problem without messing with the fuel pump. I reduced the fuel line from 3/8" to 1/4", and put in a smaller in line filter. I think there was just to much volume in the size of the line and the big-old filter I had in. Have my canoe all loaded up and reay for a test cruise, but we got hit by T-storms and 40+ mph winds tonight, hopefully in the AM. Thanks Zeph
