Am getting a drip when using tilt/trim. Looks like it might be within the braided hose at the cylinder end or loose fitting. Should I try tightening with line wrench or just replace? Age unknown. Thanks in advance for your recommendation.

Being that old I would suggest rebuild the cylinder, and do both while your at it

How are your hydraulic lines routed? From the bottom of the gimbal housing or from the inside.

Thanks guys. It's the standard early sterndrive. 2 braided hoses on each side screwed into a cylinder on each side and a quad plate on the bottom. Cylinders are smooth plain ie no anodes or the long tube on the side of later model. Anodes are the two bolt caps and the trim tab. No drip at rest. Topped off with 5w-30 Pennzoil HM per SELOC as the fluid since original straight 20w is NLA. I added a bit of Lucas oil leak stop that should help plump up the seals. Also fixed fuel gauge was a grounding issue.
