I'm starting a new thread. Put on rebuilt Carb and got the engine running. You see by the video sputters and can't get low idle. Also the exhaust housing is very hot not the head, and water outlet is very low. I confirmed water is shooting through head when I replace water pump I shot water thru the copper tube and back down through thromostat housing. Tube is in grommet

We have to explain it time and time again.----There is not enough water in your test bucket.----And there are too many exhaust bubbles in the water !!----Test cooling with it on a boat floating in the water.

Ok I will do that. What do you say about the sputter and low idle? Timing? Make adjustment to the points or Cam roller issue?

Water well above the intake for back pressure and cooling. Adjust the carb once the water level is correct (I test run them with water about half way between the AV plate above the prop, and the exhaust opening on the back of the leg.) It currently is idling too fast, imo. Throttle it down and adjust the air fuel mix on the carb (initially about 1 turn from lightly closed, then gradual clockwise until it coughs -- open at that point about 1/4 turn.)
