1971 50esl71s base timing

OK going blind here lookin a the search. I have a 50hp motor that i just need the base timing deg number. I dont have a manual this thing cost me $100 bucks and it has good compression and spark. It seems to fast at idle so I am doing thre typical link n sync but before i do that i need to set the base timing. Does anyone have the right info for this motor. I have seem a range from 4 btdc to 19 btdc. I know my 72 and 78 3cyl where 8* btdc

4 degrees at idle, in gear. 19 at wot.
