This moter will not start in the morning until the outside temperature burns the moisture off of everything. What could cause this? I was thinking carburator needle seat valve because when it does run fuel runs out of the top carburator. All help is very much appreciated.

I would guess that on a damp morning it may be jumping fire to closest ground. Check plug wires for cracks. If they are old and brittle it mite be good to change em.

Yep if carbs are leaking its a pretty good bet the needle and seats need replaceing. If it were me Id go ahead and clean carbs with carb cleaner and, Remove all welch plugs clean jets and blow out with compressed air.

I would also do a spark test, useing a spark tester it needs to jump a 7/16 gap at least.

A OEM service manual really..really helps!

Good luck!

I have a manual and believe now that it might be the stator. looking up the tests to determine whats wrong. I noticed the manual still does not provide the WOT timing specks on this pointless ignition system.

Stator tested good, replaced the rectifier. Are there any test for the power pack / ignition coils? Still have weak spark on 2 and no spark on 1.
